about sailing
Sailing is an extremely demanding technical sport. In addition to the movement itself in three-dimensional space, together with the correct piloting technique, the pilot must pay attention to other possible operations, weather changes, navigation, competition tactics, etc. In the cabin of gliders, pilots are exposed to extreme temperatures. A normal sailing competition lasts two weeks and one competition flight lasts in the order of three to seven hours, which is why very high demands are placed on the pilot's psyche and physical endurance. The preparation for the competitions therefore consists not only in flying itself, but also in individual work and training on the ground, from mental training to perfect ground preparation of the technique. What does it actually compete in and what can one experience on a plane?
